The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 edition kickstarts from February 19. The 9th edition of the tournament will be played in Pakistan and UAE (only for India matches). The top eight teams that qualified for the Champions Trophy from the 2023 World Cup will grind it hard to win the title.

With over eight editions being played, the tournament has seen it all amidst the clashes between the best versus best sides. One such element would be veteran batting campaigners who have shown their impact by scoring some pivotal and large count of runs. That said, here are the top five batters with the most runs across the ICC Champions Trophy timeline.

1. Chris Gayle (West Indies)- 791 Runs

West Indies renowned batsman Chris Gayle scored the most runs in history in the Champions Trophy. It is no surprise that Chris Gayle is one of those few campaigners who has displayed their sporting calibre with the potential of hitting powerful shots and creating records with the willow.

He has scored 791 runs in 17 matches, with an excellent average of 52.73, and his top score is 133 not out. He has three hundreds and one half-century in this ICC event. He scored 474 runs in the 2006 Champions Trophy and was the highest run-getter that season. He had centuries against South Africa and Bangladesh in Jaipur in that edition.
