When will Shubman Gill take the field again?

India's star batter Shubman Gill will next be seen playing for the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. He was dropped from the T20 World Cup squad for failing to score runs in the Asia Cup 2025 and the series against Australia. He was the vice-captain of the T20I team before getting dropped from the squad.

Gill played in the domestic cricket and will now feature in the IPL 2026. He will lead GT in the T20 league. The IPL is set to start from March 26. However, the schedule and the venues haven't been released yet. Reports suggest that the board will release all the information by the end of the T20 World Cup 2026. The fans will have to wait for a week or two to know about the schedule.

The tournament will be two months long and will end on May 31. All ten teams will participate in the league. In the previous edition, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won the finals for the first time in 18 years and laid their hands on the trophy. They will be the defending champions this time.
