Pyla Avinash, during his magnificent knock of 96 runs in just 39 deliveries, with the help of four boundaries and 11 sixes at a strike rate of 246.15, caught the eyes of the spectators and the entire country, as it could prove to be a vital knock to come under the radar of the IPL 2025 franchise scouts.

During the second game of the Andhra Premier League (APL) 2025 at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam, Riyals of Rayalaseema and Vijayawada Sunshiners meet each other for the very first time in this season. The former batted first and lost their first three wickets inside the powerplay for just 33 runs on the board.

Pyla joined Girinath Reddy in the middle as they put up a fine partnership of 104 runs for the fourth wicket in less than nine overs. The former clubbed the big smooths very smoothly around the park as he showed great control and power with the bat. Reddy, on the other hand, smacked 49 runs in 23 balls at a strike rate of 213.04.

The 23-year-old has featured in the IPL squad of the Punjab Kings in the past. Apart from this knock, his numbers in the T20s were not great, with just 81 runs in five innings at an average of 20.25 and a strike rate of under 117.39, with the best score of 55. The knock helped the Royals put 196/7 on the board in their allotted 20 overs.

In reply, the Vijayawada chased down the target quite easily with seven wickets in hand and as many deliveries to go. Ashwin Hebbar, the leader of the side, drilled 98 runs in 48 balls at a strike rate of over 200, with the help of six boundaries and nine sixes. Garimella Teja clubbed an unbeaten 77 runs in 37 balls at a strike rate of seven fours and six sixes to chase down the score.

It could prove to be a good knock for Pyal. But the important aspect will be to continue the same range hitting throughout the competition, as he would want to come under the eyes of the IPL franchises.
