JioStar, the official broadcast and digital partner of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in India 2025, launched its campaign film “Jersey Wahi Toh Jazba Wahi” today, ahead of the much-awaited tournament. The Women’s World Cup, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, is set to commence on September 30, 2025 and will be live and exclusively broadcast on Star Sports Network and JioHotstar.

The campaign was conceptualized by BubbleWrap Films and adequately demonstrates how the Indian jersey brings together millions of fans—no matter who wears it. The film follows a character who is initially hesitant while wearing a Smriti Mandhana jersey to work, but as he journeys to work, he runs into other fans proudly wearing the jerseys of India's women cricketers.

The powerful message culminates when he encounters his office lift operator, also in a Smriti jersey, who states, "Virat khelein ya Smriti, jeetega toh India hi na," i.e., "Whether it’s Virat or Smriti, India will win anyway." With someone's confirmation, he no longer has to feel shy or uneasy about wearing it; he peels off his jacket and walks into the office with renewed pride.

A campaign of pride and inspiration

“The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup India 2025 marks a defining moment for Indian cricket—a powerful opportunity to inspire a new generation of fans as the Women in Blue set out, on home soil, to chase a trophy that has so far eluded them,” said Siddharth Sharma, Head, Viewership and Monetization Initiative, Sports - JioStar.

“With the roar of a billion voices behind them and the advantage of home crowds, Team India enters this campaign not just as hopefuls but as genuine contenders. This campaign is about uniting the country behind our women’s team and taking equal pride in every Indian jersey—whether worn by men or women,” Sharma added.

Hosts India will begin their World Cup campaign against co-hosts Sri Lanka in Guwahati, promising an opening clash that will set the tone for a tournament to remember.
