The countdown for the upcoming Women's ODI World Cup 2025 draws to a close. With less than three weeks to go, the hosts, India-W, will be seen in action against Sri Lanka-W in the tournament opener at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. The marquee tournament will run from September 30 to November 2, with the final, slated to be staged at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Although Australia-W are the defending champions and enter the tournament as hot favorites, the ladies in Blue will strive to make their home crowd proud on the back of a rare title glory.

Ahead of the much-anticipated World Cup, the International Cricket Council (ICC), as always, has released a promo video in a bid to foster excitement and engagement amongst the fans before the ultimate showdown unfolds. This promo video encapsulates iconic moments and action-packed visuals from the earlier editions of the Women's World Cup. At first glance, the promo video looks very intense. Moreover, the captivating background music further adds to the thrill. Interestingly, the voiceover of this promo video has been done entirely in English.

The promo has been well-received by the fans and passionate cricket lovers worldwide. The World Cup promo became an instant hit the moment it was made live by the ICC. By now, the video is garnering views in the millions as more and more people seem to be getting hooked on it. 

The Women's ODI World Cup 2025 will comprise as many as eight participating teams and will feature a total of 31 intense, action-packed matches. After commencing their World Cup journey against Sri Lanka-W, India-W will then be taking on Pakistan-W, South Africa-W, Australia-W, England-W, New Zealand-W, and Bangladesh-W. Although the tournament is jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka, the expectations of a World Cup title win for India are sky high.
