India Women defeated Pakistan Women by 88 runs in Match 6 at the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025, played at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. India batted first in the contest and ended up with a total of 247 runs on a sluggish pitch. Harleen Deol scored 46 runs with fine patience, and there was a brisk knock of 35 runs from 20 balls by Richa Ghosh to assist India in finishing well. For Pakistan, Diana Baig bowled impressively and claimed 4 wickets for 69 runs, but India's total was still difficult to chase.

When Pakistan batted, they kept losing wickets at a frequent rate and never managed good partnerships. Opener Sidra Amin scored a fearless innings of 81 runs and did her best to lead her side, but she was not receiving much support from the other batsmen. India's bowlers applied pressure, bowled responsibly, and prevented easy runs. Kranti Gaud was the best bowler, who bagged 3 wickets off only 20 runs, and Deepti Sharma picked up 3 wickets as well. Below are the main reasons for the Pakistan Women defeat:

1. Inability to Form Partnerships

Pakistan could not produce any strong partnerships. While Sidra Amin scored 81, no one else supported her, making Pakistan’s chase very difficult, as they lost wickets one after another.

2. Good Bowling by India

The Indian bowlers bowled tight lines and didn't allow runs.. Kranti Gaud and Deepti Sharma both took 3 wickets a piece and kept Pakistan under pressure right from the start. Their teamwork and accuracy were essential to Indian success.

3. Mistakes Under Pressure

Pakistan made many mistakes while batting. Poor running between wickets and a big run-out of Muneeba Ali made things worse. These small errors and regular wickets stopped Pakistan from chasing and led to their 88-run defeat.
