North Delhi Strikers Women were defeated by one wicket in a nail-biting finish by Central Delhi Queens in Match 4 of the WDPL 2025 played at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Strikers-W, batting first, were restricted to 117/4 in 20 overs. Chasing, the Queens batted steadily to reach 120/9 in 19.5 overs with some valuable late-order runs. With this loss, the Strikers remain winless in the season. Here are the main reasons why the North Delhi Strikers Women lost the match.

1. Early Top-Order Collapse

The Strikers started poorly, losing Upasana Yadav (6 off 8) and Armeet Kaur (8 off 12) cheaply, and at 14/2, they weren't able to establish a strong opening platform, which put the Strikers' middle order under pressure from the beginning.

2. Slow Going in Middle Overs

Although Ayushi Soni (27 off 19) and Nazma Khan (40 off 30) did their best to rebuild the innings, the Strikers struggled to find the boundary regularly. Dot balls mounted up and after holding their innings together, they limped to 117/4 with a respectable but well under par score in T20 times.

3. Queens’ Gritty Lower-Order Chase

Despite losing wickets regularly, the Queens’ lower order showed remarkable composure. Monika (36 off 39) and Deeksha Sharma (25 off 21) steadied the innings before Parunika Sisodia (17 off 8) and Priya Mishra (4* off 1) sealed the chase at 120/9. Their calm and composure in high-pressure circumstances denied the Strikers the chance of a comeback.
