During the 29th fixture of The Hundred 2025, Oval Invincibles locked horns with London Spirit at the Kennington Oval in South London. The home captain, Sam Billings, won the toss and decided to bowl first on a dry and batting-firm surface.

Oval decided to make two changes in the playing eleven as Miles Hammond and Saqib Mahmood came into the side, with Jordan Clark and Gus Atkinson getting breaks before the playoffs. For the Londo side, Ryan Higgins got the chance to feature in the eleven with Sean Dickson warming the benches.

London Spirit’s lower order push them to 152/7

The 35-run opening partnership in 20 balls gave the Spirit a fine platform inside the powerplay with the wicket-keeper batter, Jordan Cox, smashing 28 runs in 15 balls at a strike rate of 186.87, thanks to four boundaries and one six. They, however, kept losing wickets at regular intervals and found themselves at 88/5.

Their number three, Jordan Cox, grabbed 47 runs in 27 balls at a strike rate of 174.07, with the help of five boundaries and two sixes. Donovan Ferreira remained unbeaten on 24 runs in nine balls with two fours and two sixes to complete the chase with six wickets in hand and 22 balls to spare.
