Southern Brave didn’t get a good start, losing both openers, captain James Vince and Leus du Plooy, for 16 runs on the board in 14 balls. Jason Roy drilled 37 runs in 23 balls at a strike rate of 160.87 with the help of three boundaries and two sixes, but he was foxed by a fine spinning yorker from Liam Dawson.

Their lower order couldn't get going with the bat as they were bundled out for 139 runs in 92 balls. Both Richard Gleeson and Liam Dawson picked up three wickets each in the second innings.
