The Women’s World Cup 2025 will start from from September 30  and end on November 2. The tournament features eight teams and every team is vying for the coveted trophy. The International Cricket Council (ICC) released a revised schedule for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 on August 22, where Navi Mumbai replaced Bengaluru as another venue to host the games.

As India is one of the host, the pressure is mounting on the Indian team. They have not won any ICC trophy up until now and the women in blue want to turn the tables this time around. Former India women cricketer, Anjum Chopra has spoken on length about the World Cup draught of India women. She added that playing semi finals and finals will remain as only stats and what matters is when the team delivers on the big day and wins the trophy.

“Skill is the biggest factor, and when it falls short, mental strength takes over. Every era, every player, every team has to create its own path. We’ve played so many semi-finals and finals, these are only stats until you win it, World Cups will come every few years, but what really matters is how skill and mental strength work together, and every player must prepare herself for that,” said Chopra to Crictoday.
