While the Indian innings was under pressure in their last group stage game of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 against the Netherlands at Ahmedabad, Shivam Dube played a heroic knock. 

In-form Men in Blues are playing against the Netherlands in the last Group A fixture, while the match has no more significant importance for the tournament, as all the Super Eight places have been booked.

Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav chose to bat first after winning the toss in the match against the Netherlands. The Men in Blues have chosen the challenges before the beginning of the Super Eight challenge to defend the title.

India were once struggling at 69/3 in nine overs, when Shivam Dube joined his captain Suryakumar Yadav on the pitch. After a patient start with six runs in 11 balls, Shivam started to control the innings with his iconic big shots.

Shivam started to bash the Dutch bowlers from the 13th over, the over when the left-handed middle-order hit two sixes and one four. In the following video, we can see the second six of that over, as Shivam thrashed the ball for a giant six over wide long on after getting the ball on his slot. 

Shivam Dube scored 66 runs

Shivam Dube slammed 66 off just 31 balls with four fours and six sixes, while Hardik Pandya also had a useful cameo of 30 in 21 balls, as India managed to score 193/6 in 20 overs. In the last five overs, India scored 75 runs, with only one over finishing with less than 10 runs (six runs in the 18th over), while they managed 20 or more runs in two overs.
