Talented Gujarat Titans batter Shahrukh Khan smashed his maiden half-century in IPL against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, April 28. Royal Challengers Bengaluru won the toss and opted to bowl first.

Put into bat, Gujarat Titans got a big blow as Wriddhiman Saha got out for a mere 5. Soon after captain Shubman Gill also got out right after the powerplay for 16. With his dismissal, Shahrukh Khan came in the middle and he steadied the ship with Sai Sudharsan. He took some time initially to settle in the middle but he got set, and he started taking on every bowler.

Shahrukh Khan has been in sublime form

He smashed Glenn Maxwell over long-on for an 81m six in the 9th over and then hit a boundary through mid-wicket. He then hit Karn Sharma for a six in the 10th over as well. He also smashed a biggie and brought 100 for his side in the 12th over. With his big-hitting skills, he reached his maiden fifty in 24 balls as well.

However, his swashbuckling knock came to an end soon after his fifty as Mohammed Siraj bowled him for 58. But, his quick knock in the middle helped the side in the middle overs as well.
