Rishabh Pant has enjoyed his time in England during the series with 425 runs in six innings at an average of over 70, thanks to his century during the opening fixture of the series at Leeds in Headingley. The left-handed batter used his power and skills, along with aggression and consistency, to take advantage.
However, it wasn’t an easy week for the keeper, Pant, who couldn’t spend time in the field. He got hit on his finger with a wobbling seaming delivery from Jasprit Bumrah and couldn’t keep wickets for the remainder of the game. Dhruv Jurel replaced him in that position. However, it was revealed by the reports that he would be fully fit before the next game in Manchester.
Pant will be a vital member on the side, especially in taking on the pacers and spinners, whenever they are under immense pressure in the contest. With his attacking knocks, he could easily swing the game in their favor in a span of just a few overs.
