During the 12th match of the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 between Sri Lanka Women and England Women at Colombo on Saturday (October 11), English skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt created a new history in the tournament with her heroic century, which helped the English team manage the 250+ total.

After Sri Lanka Women chose to bowl first while the English team was losing wickets at regular intervals, skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt strongly handled the English innings from the other side. As the opener Tammy Beaumont was the second-highest run-scorer in that innings with 32 runs, skipper Sciver-Brunt smashed her fifth century in the competition history. She completed the century in 110 balls, as it was her 10th WODI hundred. She scored 117 off 117 balls with nine fours and two sixes before getting out in the last over.
