Mumbai Indians will kick off their IPL 2025 season against Chennai Super Kings on March 23. The match, part of a Sunday double-header, will begin at 7:30 PM at MA Chidambaram Stadium. The anthem release, just two days before the tournament starts, has added to the excitement.

Hardik Pandya will miss the opening match due to a one-game ban. In his absence, Suryakumar Yadav, who is also India’s T20I captain, will lead the team against CSK. Mumbai Indians are one of the most successful teams in IPL history, tied with Chennai Super Kings for the most titles both have won five trophies each. Under Rohit Sharma’s Captaincy, MI won in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020. Last IPL, in 2024, Hardik Pandya took over as captain. With a fresh anthem and a strong squad, Mumbai Indians are all set for another thrilling IPL season.
