San Francisco Unicorns kept their unbeaten record intact with a 47 run victory against MI New York in Match 14 of Major League Cricket 2025 at Grand Prairie Stadium. SFU batted first and hit a record (for the tournament) of 246/4 in 20 overs. Captain Matthew Short led the charge with a blistering 91 off 43 balls, Jake Fraser-McGurk added 64 off 26, while Hassan Khan added a quickfire 31 off 9 balls. MI’s bowlers struggled under pressure, with only Pollard, Naveen, and Kenjige managing wickets.

Chasing a big score, MI New York made a good start with de Kock scoring 70 (46) and Monank Patel scoring 60 (33), but with a rapidly rising required rate, wickets began to tumble. Kieron Pollard added a quick 34, but MINY could only muster 199/6. Romario Shepherd (2/30) and Xavier Bartlett (2/35) were the pick of the bowlers for SFU.

The comprehensive win cemented the San Francisco Unicorns’ top spot on the points table with 10 points from 5 matches, while MI New York slipped further with just 1 win in 5 games.
