In Match 24 of the 2025 Major League Cricket (MLC) season, MI New York dominated with an all-round performance to beat Los Angeles Knight Riders by 8 wickets at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill. The Knight Riders batted first but did not make the most of the chance, though a blistering knock by Sherfane Rutherford, who hammered 86 of 44 balls. LKR totaled 154/8 in their 20 overs, as MI New York bowlers, particularly Trent Boult (4/17), restricted them throughout the inning.

MI New York chased the target easily with 13 balls remaining. Nicholas Pooran topped the show with an unbeaten 62 from 47 balls, as Monank Patel continued his good run with 56 from 44 balls. The duo sewed a crucial alliance that negated the Knight Riders' bowling attack. With this victory, MI New York moved to 5th position on the points table with 4 points, further downing Los Angeles with only one victory from eight matches.
