A look at the list of the retained players for the runners-up from the 2025 season of the tournamnet, Queta Gladiators, heading into the new edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), scheduled to begin in late March.

The upcoming season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is expected to begin in the last week of March. Ahead of that, the Quetta Gladiators, the runners-up from the previous season of the event, have revealed their four retained players ahead of the next edition of the event. They would hope to construct a strong yet balanced side in both the batting and bowling departments of the game.
Pakistan's Abrar Ahmed gets retained in the platinum category by the franchise, as the leg spinner has already marked his name in the shortest format of the national side with 46 wickets in 33 innings at an average of 17.15, a strike rate of 15.60, and an economy rate of 6.55, with the best figures of 4/9 in an innings.

In the previous edition of the PSL, Abrar collected 17 wickets in 12 innings at an average of 19.23 and a strike rate of 15.70 and an economy rate of 7.34, thanks to the best figures of 4/42 in an innings. He was equally excellent in the 2024 season with his 16 wickets at 19.56.
List of retained Quetta Gladiators players ahead of PSL 2026
The Gladiators finished the previous season of the PSL at the top spot in the group stage of the competition with seven victories in 10 games, along with a couple of defeats. Their second retained player is Usman Tariq, who was recently accused of illegal bowling action.
Tariq had 10 wickets in the previous season of the tournament for QG in five innings at an average of 15.90 and a strike rate of 12 with an economy rate of around eight. He was retained in the Diamond category, while Hasan Nawaz was retained in the Gold group.
Nawaz has smashed 399 runs in 10 innings of the previous edition of the event at an average of 57 and a strike rate of 162.19 with the help of nine half-centuries and one century. Shamyl Hussain, the Emerging player, will be eager to leave a mark on the franchise.
