Both the former players of the Indian side, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli, have shared a great friendship over the years. From playing for the same domestic side, Delhi, they have made their way to the national side, India, and earned so much success with their batting. Kohli and Dhawan have shared several partnerships for the opening wicket and number three batter.
Shikhar Dhawan has recently completed the private wedding ceremony with Sophie Shine, as they were spotted several times during last year’s Champions Trophy 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, as they were enjoying the games of the blue brigade. The former opener hinted that he had found the love of his life.

On Dhawan’s wedding picture in the Instagram post of the social media platforms, Kohli commented that ‘Mubarkaan Jatt ji’ along with several other wishes. But Dhawan, quite surprisingly, replied to the others who commented even before Kohli and denied the former Delhi batter. That has raised several questions around the social media platforms.
Shikhar Dhawan ignores Virat Kohli’s comments on Instagram
Dhawan and Kohli had several stands that helped the blue brigade in the game. The former finished his career as the prolific run-getter in the opening spot of the international side. The left-handed batter has cracked an overall of 6793 runs in 164 innings of the 50-over format at an average of 44.11 and a strike rate of 91.35 with the help of 39 half-centuries and 17 centuries at the best score of 143 runs.
Dhawan and his estranged wife, Ayusha Mukherjee, got separated towards the end of 2023, which brought an end to their marriage of 11 years. The former opening batter of the Blue Brigade married Ayesha in 2011, and she has two daughters from the previous marriage, as their relationship broke down after a prolonged period of issues.
The Delhi court granted the divorce to Dhawan, which saw the batter suffering the mental trauma, noting that the former wife kept him away from his child, Zoravar, for several years. After not getting the permanent custody, Dhawan finally blocked all communication with his son.
