Know the remaining parts of every franchise after their retention ahead of the Pakistan Super League 2026 whose historic first auction will take place on February 11 along with two other new franchises.

Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan, Abdar Ahmed, and Hassan Ali have been retained in the platinum category by their respective teams in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) heading into the 2026 season of the tournament, as the Multan Sultans remain the only franchise not to retain any player, releasing even their captain, Mohammad Rizwan.
The two new teams, Sialkot Stallionz and Hyderabad, will make their retentions by February 7, as the historic auction of the PSL for the very first time will take place on February 11. All the players retained and picked at the auction will have a two-year contract with their franchise.
The teams can sign 16 to 20 players, with five to seven over six players, and at least one local player under the age of 23 who has yet to play the PSL. Each franchise has an auction purse of PKR 450 million, which can be extended up to PKR 505 million to accommodate the direct signing.
