KL Rahul reaches Indian Test legendary milestone in England

In the early period of the crucial opening day of the Manchester Test, Indian openers KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal provided strong starts, where Rahul reached the Indian Test legendary milestone in England. 

India are trailing by 2-1 in the five-match Test series in England, Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025, after the third Test of the series. Old Trafford in Manchester is hosting the fourth Test of the series, as the visitors must win the remaining two Tests to win this away Test series.

Once again, England Test captain Ben Stokes won the toss in the Manchester Test and chose to field first. It was England's fourth successive toss win in this Test series, and India's 14th consecutive toss loss in Test cricket. At the lunch of the opening day of the Manchester Test, India scored 78/0, where KL Rahul scored 40 runs in 82 balls with four fours, and Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 36 off 74 balls with six fours and one six.

KL Rahul: 5th Indian to score 1000 Test runs in England

Before this Test match, KL Rahul was 14 runs away from completing his 1000 Test runs in England. In the seventh over of the Test match, Rahul hit a four to English pacer Chris Woakes and completed his 1000 runs in Test cricket in England. He became the fifth Indian cricketer to score 1000 Test runs in England. The first four names in this list are Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and Virat Kohli.
