After a series of speculations over the past few days, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) might have taken the final call about Jasprit Bumrah's participation in the upcoming Asia Cup 2025.

In a recent update, it is claimed that the senior pacer of India is all set to play the prime tournament involving the top cricket-playing nations of Asia. As per reports, BCCI is convinced about the pacer's fitness and workload management.

During the Anderson-Tendulkar trophy, as per pre-plans, the team management utilized him for only 3 matches in the 5-match series. Bumrah missed the fifth match of the tour because of a niggle in his knee. The Asia Cup 2025 is scheduled to start on 9 September in the UAE, so Bumrah will get enough time to rest and recover from the niggle.

Medical reports are going to take major role

The final squad of the prestigious tournament can be decided after the medical reports of all players from the Centre of Excellence’s Sports Science. The future of Surykumar Yadav, who recently resumed batting practices on the net, will be dependent on the medical report. Latest media reports further claimed that Ajit Agarkar led the selection committee to announce the squad for the Asia Cup 2025 on August 19 or 20. There are strong possibilities that if Bumrah plays in the 2025 Asia Cup, then he can remain absent from India's upcoming home Test series with the West Indies, beginning on 2 October.

For the Asia Cup, the selection committee can combine Bumrah with Arshdeep Singh, who proved his abilities in the format before. The combination of Jasprit and Arshdeep can be lethal against Asia's strong opponents. Singh, who went to England to play for the Anderson-Tendulkar trophy, sustained a hand injury and did not play any match before taking a flight home.
