The former head coach of the Indian cricket team, Rahul Dravid, has revealed his dream final for the ongoing 2026 season of the T20 World Cup besides highlighting the chances of the Indian side in this tournament.

The former Indian captain and the head coach of the side, Rahul Dravid, has revealed that his dream final of the T20 World Cup 2026 will be India against anybody. He added that he would love to see a lesser-known side reach the summit clash, which will be held on March 08 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Rahul Dravid wants Zimbabwe to reach the final against India. The former topped their group of the first stage with wins over Australia and co-hosts Sri Lanka, which was incredibly impressive under the leadership of all-rounder Sikandar Raza.
“I would take India versus anybody. India versus Zimbabwe? That would be great for Zimbabwe cricket. It would be amazing if Zimbabwe could make it. I would love to see one of the lesser teams, alongside India. That would be great. The defining thing for me of the World Cup so far is something that people have spoken about quite a lot, which has been the fact that a lot of the associate teams have played some fantastic cricket.” Dravid expressed on NDTV.

Dravid also felt that the Suryakumar Yadav-led side would have a good chance in defending their title. He reckoned that they had been playing really well and hoped that the experienced players would need to step up and deliver in crucial moments.
“It is just great to see the kind of talent that we are getting to see in a lot of associate nations. There’s been some really good performances from all across the board. A lot of them might not have qualified for the Super 8s, which was always going to be very difficult in this kind of format, but even in that, they have really shown that they have some good young talent.” Dravid addressed.
“They are doing really well. They have been playing some fantastic cricket in the last couple of years. As the tournament goes towards the Super 8s, and you get into the knockout, I think it obviously gets defined by a few critical moments.” The former head coach concluded.
