Former England spinner Monty Panesar shared an Instagram story that appeared to show a photo from his wedding with Subrina Johal.  The 43-year-old ex-player was earlier married to Gursharan Rattan, a pharmacist. He was 31 years old when he divorced Rattan.

Subrina Johal also posted the wedding photo on Instagram with the caption, “And just like that... onto the next chapter.” Panesar reshared the post on his official Instagram account and wrote, “My missing piece.” Very little information is available online about Johal. Her X (formerly Twitter) profile shows that she lives in Leicester, England, and works as the Principal of Orchard Mead Academy.

Panesar made his England debut in 2006 in a Test match against India at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Ground. A year later, he made his debut in both white-ball formats for England in international cricket.

Panesar’s Playing Career and Life After Cricket

Monty Panesar played 50 Tests, 26 ODIs, and one T20I for England during his international career. He took 167 wickets in Test matches, 24 in ODIs, and two in T20Is. One of his best performances came during England’s tour of India in 2012–13, where he took 17 wickets in three matches, including two five-wicket hauls. England won that series 2–1, with their spinners performing better than India’s.

The Luton-born spinner played his final international match against Australia in December 2013. He last appeared in county cricket in 2016 while playing for Northamptonshire. During his county career, he also represented Sussex and Essex. Panesar also played for England Lions during a tour of South Africa and featured for the England Masters in the International Masters League last year.

Now working as a cricket expert, Panesar often shares his views on the game. Recently, he supported Ravi Shastri as a possible replacement for Brendon McCullum as England’s head coach after England struggled against Australia in the latest Ashes series.
