India was maintaining a nice shape with KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant on the crease. After the run-out of Pant and Rahul’s departure at his individual 100, England started to tilt the momentum of the match. Accompanied by Jofra Archer’s fiery bowling, the other pacers of the home team—Chris Woakes and Brydon Carse—did what the team urged from them: destroying India’s middle and lower batting order.
Ravindra Jadeja and Nitish Kumar Reddy built a promising partnership, but by then, the host started to find their rhythm.
