EDR batted first because of the toss, and they put up a total of 158/8 largely thanks to Arpit Rana’s aggressive batting of 47 runs off 31 balls and Hardik Sharma’s 37 runs. Manan Bhardwaj from WDL had some good bowling statistics with 3 for 26. WDL started strong in the chase with Ankit Kumar smashing 42 runs off 16 balls and Krish Yadav adding another 44 runs. However, WDL was losing wickets at regular intervals during the middle overs, slowing down their chase. In the end, on the last ball of the match and needing a mere 3 runs to clinch the match, WDL were unable to reach 159 and ended up at 156/7, handing EDR a much-needed but narrow victory.
