North Delhi Strikers (NDS) will face New Delhi Tigers (NDT) in Match 40 of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, on Thursday, August 28, at 7:00 PM IST. Both teams are knocked out of playoff contention and this has become a dead-rubber match. NDT sits in fifth place in the standings with four wins and five losses to their name, while NDS has three wins along with four losses and two no results from nine games to date.

Earlier in the tournament, NDT defeated NDS by eight wickets, chasing down 125 in just 13 overs. Now, both teams will just be focusing on ending their castles with a win to give some players a chance to have a bright end of the season. Even though the match is a dead rubber, it is still expected to be a high standard of competitive cricket, as both teams will be eager to build their confidence again.

The Arun Jaitley Stadium is an absolutely batting-friendly surface in general but rain has played a factor in some recent matches. Captains winning the toss will likely prefer to bowl first, since chasing teams in rain-affected matches often hold the upper hand.
