Central Delhi Kings assured themselves a spot in the DPL 2025 Final with a rigid 6-wicket win over East Delhi Riders after winning the toss and bowling first. East Delhi Riders did not have great starts, as they were bowled out for just 90 runs in 14.5 overs, with Simarjeet Singh with a dazzling spell of 5 wickets providing no respite for the top and middle order batting line-up for the Riders. While Sujal Singh put up some resistance with a solid 39 runs, the rest of his batting order all failed to perform. Central Delhi Kings’ innings began poorly as they lost Aaryavir Sehwag and Yugal Saini cheaply to fall to 18/2. Jonty Sidhu flung the momentum the way of the Kings after making a very brisk 26 from only 15 balls. He was ably supported by Aditya Bhandari,, who made a fantastic, match-winning 33 not out from only 19 balls. Bhandari sealed the chase even with Jasvir Sehrawat (8*) making limited opportunities available for the Central Delhis and winning the match for them.
