The Big Bash League (BBL) 2025–26 continues with Match 6, where Brisbane Heat (HEA) will take on Perth Scorchers (SCO) at The Gabba, Brisbane, on Friday, December 18.

The Brisbane Heat began their campaign with a 14-run loss to Melbourne Renegades. Although it was a loss, there were some encouraging signs emerging. Jack Wildermuth took three wickets, and Colin Munro and Jimmy Peirson aggregated half-centuries. However, the team fell short in the end. The Heat will now look to bounce back and register their first win of the season.

The Perth Scorchers had a better start to their campaign. They won their opening match by five wickets in a rain-affected game. Cooper Connolly played a key role with a match-winning half-century. The Scorchers will look to maintain this momentum and get on track in this tournament.
