The Big Bash League 2025-26 is set to continue with a match featuring the Perth Scorchers (SCO) taking on the Adelaide Strikers (STR) at Optus Stadium in Perth on January 4.

The Perth Scorchers have been performing well this season, having won three of their five matches so far, and are currently third on the points table. Coming into this game after two straight wins, the Scorchers will feel confident to carry on their good run here and just might move up the order with a win.

The Adelaide Strikers have had a mixed season so far. They have so far won two wickets and lost two, placing them just below the Scorchers on the table. In their last game, the Strikers beat Brisbane Heat by seven wickets, something that will give them confidence. They will look at building from that win as the race for playoff spots gets tough.

SCO vs STR Head-to-Head Record (T20s)

  • Matches Played: 27
  • Perth Scorchers Won: 15
  • Adelaide Strikers Won: 12
  • No Result/Tied: 0

SCO vs STR: Pitch Report

The Optus Stadium provides good pace and bounce in its pitch, which assists the fast bowlers. In the same way, batters can score freely once they settle in. The outfield is quick, so runs come easily. A total of over 180 is generally always competitive here, and teams may prefer to bat first.
