During the trophy unveiling ceremony, when skippers of eight participating teams interacted with the media professionals, Bangladesh cricket team captain Litton Das uplifted his and the team's morale.
Das clearly said that they are ready to break the past records. Before the beginning of the Asia Cup 2025, Bangladesh played some courageous cricket against Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and the Netherlands. They arrive in Dubai after confirming three consecutive series wins—an away series win in Sri Lanka, at home against Pakistan, and then over the Netherlands. Still, there are doubts over their credibility.
"There will be many challenges here; it won't be easy. But we'll focus on how we can improve as a team," Litton said during the media conversation session.
"There's no sense of urgency. We've played very good cricket in the recent past and had quite a long camp. I think we're well prepared for the Asia Cup. All the teams are strong, and it will be challenging, but we're eager to take that challenge and give our hundred percent."
A must win game for Bangladesh
The Tiger brigade is scheduled to start their Asia Cup 2025 campaign from the day after tomorrow. In their first encounter, they will face Hong Kong. In recent times, Hong Kong played really well to qualify for the tournament. But for the match, Bangladesh will be the favorite to win.
