Tailenders need to step up

As was the case in the Lord’s Test, the tailenders have not been up to the mark forget getting runs, rather defending and seeing through the overs. In order to put up a fighting total on the board, the tailenders should accompany a recognise batter till the end.

Top order should fire on all cylinders

The big let down has been the regular misfire of the opening pair. While KL Rahul has been resolute Yashasvi Jaiswal needs to find his mojo before its too late. Having said that Sai Sudharsan might want to rotate the strike and see off some overs before going for ambitous flourish.

Prasidh Krishna should bowl in patches

Krishna has been a wonderful bowler when he is not given a long spell. It was evident in the game where he was take to the cleaners by English batters, he should be paired up with a spinner with alternate spells rather than long spells.
